Best hotel in town for the price. Also includes nice food offerings on the menu. Right next to the fort, the market and the boat docks for lots of great photos.
During our business visit to Pem's Pension and Restaurant, we had the chance to explore their facilities without staying overnight. Despite not lodging, we were graciously allowed to inspect their rooms, which appeared comfortable, although lacking hot showers. The staff and owner were incredibly helpful and accommodating during our visit, making our business-related exploration hassle-free.
While there, we also had the opportunity to dine at their restaurant, and we were pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of their menu. The food was delicious, offering a broad selection that suited both my daughter and husband. The family-friendly atmosphere made it a convenient spot for a meal during our business-oriented visit.
What truly stood out was the attentiveness of the owner and staff, who made sure our needs were met even though our visit was primarily for business purposes.
For anyone seeking a welcoming environment and a diverse menu while on a business trip, Pem's Pension and Restaurant is worth considering. The helpfulness of the staff and the accommodating atmosphere certainly added value to our brief stopover.
We didn’t stay at the accommodation we went for food which was below average for the price. The fried chicken was dry and butchered as in the Philippines they just hack away at things. The fish was ok however both dishes could have come with rice for the price. Considering it was around 600 peso just for the food it was a let down. We wouldn’t return. The ambience is nice.
Few meters from Fort Santa Isabel, Pem's Pension has a very nice garden to chill in, with frogs at night, and the rooms are very decent.
Bathroom a bit stuffy, and basic, but ok.
If you pass Taytay, you should visit the fort, it's very cheap and worth the visit to know a bit more about the history of this place.
It is such an average restaurant that cooks homecooked meal and serve it in the same manner. But they will offer you their freshly catch of the day and will suggest on how they will cook it. The place is not properly maintaned though but their toilet is clean. The location is good also and only just a few meters away from Fort Sta Isabel in Taytay.
The owner and staff are friendly. The rooms are spacious. The food is okay. The ambiance outside is very peaceful and you can really feel nature. The sound of birds outside makes me feel like I am far from civilization and it is great.
Pen and Kim are the owners of the hotel, and they were extremely kind and human about the service. We had all of our issues sorted with them. The staff is very nice and it feels like a natural resort for sure. For the same price you cannot get a cabin that’s nice. But make sure to play some garlic and egg shells in the room because we are living in a jungle and that can repel some lizards and stuff like that.
Right near the fort which is best thing. But place is in desperate need of maintenance. Usual dirty bathroom with bad drainage. But still charging US$50 per nite. Able to operate because there’s not much competition.
